The Stratford native was 68.
His clients say they will miss him dearly.
"I spent many hours in Michael's chair or just hangin' out on the floor or in the basement after hours," one said on social media.
"Michael was an artist with a pair of shears and loved to snap photos of his finished product."
"My heart is so heavy," said another client of 43 years.
"You were my shrink and I was yours! I love you Michael."
He is survived by his siblings Jo-Ann Ferro and Anthony Spetrino; his former wife, Lynn Jordan of Stamford; his daughter, Mariesa Lynn Jordan of Stamford; and twin granddaughters, Brooke Emily Bechalany and Jordan Lynn Bechalany.
Visitation is Sunday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bosak Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
